What is PPA time.
PPA time or Planning Preparation and Assessment time gives all teachers a set amount of PPA time PPA time.
This time is a minimum of 10% of their scheduled teaching time. This is the allocated time that a schools regular class teacher has allocated for them to complete their duties away from the children in their care.
This time allows teachers to plan and prepare lessons and work on assessments for the children they teach. The objective of PPA time is to reduce the number of hours that teachers spend planning lessons and marking. This time also includes all headteachers, deputy heads and those with other responsibilities like SENCOs.

The schemes of work we have are designed to be interactive, fun and engaging for young people.

As a standard we provide all our teaching staff with digital access to their assigned schools lesson plans in advance of their first day in any of our schools.
Along with lesson plans we make sure all our teaching staff have digital copies of important school documents.
Our school Information sheet is a one stop shop for all the information you will need prior to starting your new role with us. School table this will detail lesson start and finish times along with any break times so you know when you will be both in and out of the classroom. Your schools behaviour management policy. This will let you know any positive rewards that the school use for good behaviour, work etc. It will help with any guidance of actions for any in class negative behaviour.
